MAY EVENT PLOTTING POST

HOWLING GOOD TIME

Welcome to plotting post for our May Event/TDM! Here we will give you a sneak peak at what's to come for the event on May 20th, and give players a chance to plan and brainstorm ideas before the post is up. This month's event has a bit of twist, so keep an eye out and read on!

This new log will be the last event of the Spring Season, led by the Red Court, with Claudia at the reins as the Council's representative. With the howling of wolves circling ever closer to the castle, what might this month have in store? Here's a taste:

• Due to some mysterious circumstances, characters will be granted the chance to temporarily recall being their canon selves. As these moments will be temporary, any memories during that time will remain fuzzy and nebulous once the effects wear off, but this so-called 'delirium' will also include the chance for a free impactful memory, which is for keeps!
  
• In celebration of the end of Spring, the Red Court will have a few different options for residents to have a bit of fun! This will include a rose-hedge maze for getting lost in, a tunnel of love rivalry (which of course ends in a duel, as all dates should,) and a test of courage, which given the few fears vampires have is sure to be exciting.
  
• Teachers will be encouraged to take their students outdoors as the season winds down, and not just because the castle gets a little musty when things start to warm up. They'll be busy, don't you worry!
  
• What about the howling in the forest? Don't worry about it, all will become clear.
  
• And more...? Who's to say!

Can the werewolves be communicated with or understood? If asked, would any explain why they're attacking the castle?

If one's animal form is a dog, would that make any difference with the wolves?

Werewolves can technically be communicated with, but they will respond violently to any vampires/novices who approach them, regardless of intent. They're more about primal rage than speech. Characters might be able to pick up things like "break the hold" or "all as one," repeating like a mantra in their minds and voices. Otherwise it's all growling and snarling. And that's if you happen to find a chatty werewolf.

So I know it says memories but what about, oh, some physical things that disappear after this nonsense is over?

I might be asking in regards to both Lydia's lich skeleton bullshit and also just being a jerk and throwing temp wings and horn on Luna given she was, you know, an alicorn but not making her a full on horse.

General Information: She's pretty close to her canon personality, just minus the specific trauma. Expect prickliness and a desire to fight pretty much every problem.
AU Information:
- Her AU dad is Darth Vader; few know this but rumors may be slipping out given that she's treated preferentially by the hardest-ass teacher in Black Court!
- Won the spring novice tournament and doesn't have to attend Red Court classes but does anyway. What a teacher's pet!!!
- She's got a very clear romantic entanglement with Cal Kestis but has also definitely been spotted getting cozy with others. Has something going on with Astarion for sure.
- Absolutely chomping at the bit to do inadvisable things in the forest even with the werewolves about!!!

Plans

Plotting:

- Canon recall: Trilla will be way more skittish than usual, actually showing the ability to be rattled by the sudden knowledge that both Cal and Vader are people she has history with, neither of them particularly kind. Also what the fuck is all this outer space stuff?? Laser swords???? She's going to be very disoriented and stressed, prone to biting heads off and picking fights.
- Permanent memory is either going to be of the moment before her death or something to do with Cal being her enemy, for max life ruination.
- Tunnel of love rivalry? Love rivalry is Trilla's entire courting style, please enter this with her.
- Please someone come out into the forest with her!!!

Daenerys Targaryen | Gold | Youngblood

General Information: Youngblood teacher, fairly kind to her students but with an air of distance about her. On the surface she seems to be a perfect Gold Court vampire, but one-on-one she shows glimpses of more empathy for thralls in particular than one might expect.
AU Information:
- Former thrall; if you've been around 20+ years you'd have known her in her thrall teenage years.
- Particularly good at teaching enthrallment
- Maybe had her vampire husband murdered some years back???
- Possibly the last surviving member of some big important human family whose name she doesn't use????

Plans

Plotting:

- Will be remembering DRAGONS. Possibly other stuff, but definitely keeping the memory of having her baby dragons hatch from a fire that ought to have killed her.
- Will have some moments of uncharacteristic haughtiness as she gets bits and pieces of her old life. Maybe some truth to that rumour that she'd do a murder to her own husband, judging from that glint in her eye!
- Idk open to rose maze and courage test stuff???
- Will probably put up a class log for her!
